This top is designed to fit just like the genuine Volkswagen top, while improving on the original with modern materials, a much stronger frame, and a greatly improved rear window. We use premium Haartz topping, the industry-leading convertible top material used throughout the automotive industry, along with a Strataglass™ 40 Gauge clear rear window for excellent clarity and durability.
Unlike many replacement tops, this complete assembly comes installed on our Heavy Duty Top Frame. The Thing Shop manufactures the convertible top frame with heavier metal and better accuracy. The result with our top and frame combination is a clean, tight-fitting top assembly that is shipped to you ready to install.
