If you view the additional pictures we have provided above, you will see the original convertible top frame can have a combination of fatigued frame members and loose or broken hinge points. We have created our ‘Heavy Duty’ frame using the original factory specifications and blueprints. Our top frame rails are now twice as thick as the original and the hinge points utilize 25% thicker gauge steel. These improvements prevent the typical frame rail and hinge ‘bends’ and rivet hole elongation. Finally, we’ve reproduced the original header bow (identical shape to the original) with new improved steel that has the latest rust-resistant metal finish. You will have many years of service from this new convertible top frame – it comes powder coated in black satin (semi-gloss as original) for a long lasting finish!
